Our History
Porterville Gleaning Seniors is a 501(C)(3) non-profit public benefit corporation that began in 1986.
Our Mission
Porterville Gleaning Seniors is here to serve our members and provide available surplus food to help feed the in-need throughout California.
This year we have touched the homes of 161 members and hope to grow tremendously by the end of 2024.
Our Membership Program:
1 Year Volunteer Membership:
$80 per year
1 Year Non-Volunteer Membership:
$125 per year
6 Month Volunteer Membership:
$50 Half Year
6 Month Non-Volunteer Membership:
$75 Half Year
All Memberships come with a
Thrift Store discount
"The Jolene Project".
This Program ranges from helping seniors that can't maintain their yard on their own to cleaning local trash polluting our city.
Gleaners Free Food Pantry:
On Saturdays Gleaners offers free food for all of the Porterville community.
